Young poets inspire audience at Peace Mushaira held at Sindh University
A Peace Mushaira (poetic symposium) was organized at the University of Sindh, where young poets recited beautiful verses that won great applause from the audience.
The event was jointly organized by the Sindhi Adabi Sangat (Students’ Branch) of the University of Sindh in collaboration with the Bureau of STAGS and was held at the Shaikh Ayaz Auditorium.
The session was symbolically presided over by Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai, while the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Fateh Marri, graced the occasion as the chief guest.
In his address, Vice-Chancellor Dr. Fateh Marri said that the Sindhi Adabi Sangat served as a valuable platform where every piece of writing was constructively criticized for improvement — a commendable literary tradition.
He remarked that criticism aimed at improvement was always positive, as it helped refine and enhanced the quality of creative work.
He added that although he had an important meeting to attend elsewhere, he came upon hearing about the Sindhi Adabi Sangat’s program, emphasizing that he never wished to miss its events.
The event was attended by Director of the Bureau of STAGS Dr. Shabana Tanio, Deputy Director Dr. Mubarak Ali Lashari along with many other faculty members and students.
