Workshop held on research writing, presentation skills at Sindh University
Dr. M.A. Kazi Institute of Chemistry, University of Sindh, Jamshoro organized a one-day training workshop titled "The Art of Understanding and Presentation of Research Work" here on Friday.
The event took place in the institute from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm. It was designed to equip PhD scholars from the Faculty of Natural Sciences with essential skills for research writing and presentation. Over 27 registered PhD scholars from the different disciplines of the Faculty of Natural Sciences attended the workshop.
The workshop was aimed at providing participants with valuable insights into compiling research projects into well-structured theses, writing high-quality academic papers and presenting data effectively.
PhD scholars also learnt methods for crafting impactful literature reviews, interpreting quantitative data and applying citation styles.
The use of advanced AI tools for research writing was also a key focus of the event.
Renowned academicians Dr. Najma Memon from the National Centre of Excellence in Analytical Chemistry, Dr. Shahzad Ahmed Memon from the University of East London, and Dr. Naeem Ahmed Qureshi from the Department of Statistics at the University of Sindh delivered insightful sessions.
Spearheaded by the Director of Dr M.A Kazi Institute of Chemistry Professor Dr. Arfana Begum Mallah, the workshop enhanced the research and academic writing capabilities of scholars.
The organizing secretary Prof. Dr. Nusrat Memon and the organizing committee were committed to providing an engaging and resourceful learning experience.
