The University of Sindh, Jamshoro, under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Khalil-ur-Rehman Khoumbati and with the initiative of Registrar Prof. Dr. Mushtaque Ali Jariko, successfully hosted the Job Fair 2025 in collaboration with United Bank Limited (UBL) at the Institute of Commerce & Management here on Monday.

The fair attracted around 200 graduates from departments including Business Administration, Commerce, Public Administration, Banking & Finance, Economics and English. 

The candidates arrived with updated CVs and transcripts, eager to explore employment opportunities with one of Pakistan’s leading financial institutions.

In a remarkable outcome, nearly 40% of the participating candidates were selected by UBL during the on-campus interviews. 

This achievement highlighted the preparedness and talent of Sindh University’s graduates, showcasing their ability to contribute effectively to Pakistan’s professional and financial sectors.

Speaking on the occasion, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Khalil-ur-Rehman Khoumbati congratulated the successful candidates and commended UBL’s partnership. 

“This job fair reflects our commitment to preparing graduates for meaningful careers through strong academia-industry linkages," the VC said and added that he will continue to provide SU students with opportunities that helped them excel in competitive markets.

Registrar Prof. Dr. Mushtaque Ali Jariko emphasized the significance of such initiatives and stated that the aim was to ensure that students did not merely graduate with degrees but with the skills and connections necessary to thrive in the professional world.

Director of the Institute of Commerce & Management Prof. Dr. Hakim Ali Mahesar praised the collaboration. He noted that the enthusiasm of SU students and the positive response from UBL were clear indicators of the value of such career-driven platforms.

With the resounding success of this event, Sindh University and UBL announced plans to hold another Job Fair soon, with details to be shared in due course.
