SU holds its 40th Academic Council meeting

40th meeting of the Academic Council of University of Sindh, Jamshoro was held at the Senate Hall of the Vice Chancellor secretariat on Wednesday. The meeting was presided over by SU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Fateh Muhammad Burfat.

This significant session set off with recitation from the Sacred Quran, followed by invocation of prayers for SU employees who had breathed their last in the immediate past.

The meeting accorded approval of the minutes of the previous-39th meeting of the Council and made several other important decisions focusing on improvement of academic and research bench-marks at the varsity.

The session accorded approval of revised syllabi of Faculties of Islamic Studies, Social Sciences, Commerce and Business Administration and modification of name of degree program of Institute of English from “Linguistics” to “Applied Linguistics”.

The forum also approved syllabi for Departments of Electronic Engineering and Communication Engineering and resolved to recommend case for establishment of the same to varsity syndicate.

SU campuses pro vice chancellors, focal persons, deans, directors, chairpersons, members of SU syndicate, controllers of the examinations, professors, principals of the colleges affiliated to SU and other members of the learned Council participated in the meeting.
