Rotary Club mobile library facility launched at SU
Mobile library facility to help the poor varsity students peruse books was inaugurated at the Sindh University yesterday. VC-SU Prof. Dr. Fateh Muhammad Burfat performed the inauguration at the public space in front of Allama I.I. Kazi Central library of the campus.
In his remarks as Chief Guest at the occasion, Sindh University Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Fateh Muhammad Burfat said books played vital role in intellectual nourishment of youth, stressing upon students to make reading their habit.
“I would insist on all and sundry to generously donate books to RC mobile library to enable youth to read who cannot otherwise financially afford to purchase books”, the Vice Chancellor added.
Dr. Burfat greatly appreciated the efforts of Director Bureau of Students Tutorial Guidance/ Counseling Services and Co-curricular Activities (STAGS) Dr. Sumera Umrani and Rotary Club Hyderabad team comprising Fozia Keerio, Sonahry Shaikh, Jitendar Dharmani, Zeeshan, Aisha Aijaz and others towards successful launch of mobile library service at SU campus.
Those who were present on the occasion included Director Institute of English Language and Literature Dr. Tariq Hassan Umrani IELL faculty Prof. Dr. M.K. Sangi, Dr. Farida Panhwar, Dr. Ghulam Ali Buriro, Incharge SU Central library Pir Bux Bajeer and others.
