SU extends date of submission online forms for admissions to bachelor, fifth semester, masters by October 16
A meeting of the conveners of various committees formed for the smooth conduct of pre-entry test for admissions to bachelors degree programs for the academic year 2024 was held under the chair of the Vice-Chancellor, University of Sindh Jamshoro Professor (Meritorious) Dr. Muhammad Siddique Kalhoro here on Monday.
The meeting unanimously decided to extend the date of submission of online forms for admissions to various bachelors, fifth semester (Third year) and Masters Degree programs till October 16. It also agreed to conduct the pre-entry test on the Allama I.I Kazi campus in two phases i.e. on October 22 and 29, 2023 for admissions to undergraduate programs.
Held at the Vice Chancellor's office, the meeting was attended by the Pro-Vice Chancellor Sindh University Laar Campus Badin Professor Dr. Khalilur Rehman Khoumbati, Convener Logistics Support Committee Dr. Mushtaq Ali Jariko, Convener Coordination Committee Prof. Dr. Arfana Begum Mallah, Convener Hall Management, Reception & Guidance Committee Ahsan Shah Rashdi, Convener Publicity & Press Committee Nadir Ali Mugheri, Convener IT Services Committee Kamran Dahri, Convener Security Committee Abdul Majeed Panhwar, Convener Water Distribution Committee Dr. Nazir Ahmed Brohi, Convener Power Supply Committee Engineer Tanvir Gulfam Memon, Convener Procurement Committee Dr. Intizar Ali Lashari, Convener Medical Facilitation & Emergency Committee Dr Arbeela agha, Convener Finance Committee Zeeshan Memon, Convener Transport Committee Mehar Ali Kazi, Director Admissions Dr. Ayaz Keerio, Director SU Testing Center Dr. Aftab Chandio, Director Bureau of STAGS Dr. Ghazala Panhwar, Senior Transport Officer Rehmatullah Shar and Security Officer Kashif Ali Narejo.
It was unanimously decided in the meeting that on the appeal made by the candidates to extend the date of registration for admissions, it was decided to extend the date of submission of online form for admissions till October 16, however, instead of conduct of entrance tests in three phases, it was decided to take the test in two phases to be held on October 22 and October 29.
It was also decided in the meeting that the entrance test will be taken from the candidates who want to seek admissions to the campuses of the University of Sindh only on October 29.
In the meeting, the Vice-Chancellor Dr. Kalhoro said that for the academic year 2024, the candidates from neighboring districts should be called together during the two-phase entrance test for admissions to the bachelor degree programs so that they could reach the university and take the test together.
On the occasion, he listened to the proposals and suggestions of all the conveners, after which he directed the concerned quarters to devise a comprehensive plan regarding security, health, seating arrangements for the entrance test, protecting the candidates from any problem, parking and entry points for the candidates and their parents to the university.
