Despite being a newly established department, Sindh University’s Department of Law at Allama I.I.  Kazi Campus organized its first-ever Moot Court Competition on Thursday, setting an impressive standard for academic excellence.

The event featured 27 participating teams, out of which 10 advanced to oral rounds based on their theoretical research memorials.

The grand finale saw teams ‘Revolutionary Army’ and ‘Crimson Lion’ compete in a gripping courtroom battle, showcasing exceptional legal skills through precedents and case laws. After an intense competition, ‘Revolutionary Army’ emerged as the champions.

Deputy Commissioner Jamshoro Mr. Riaz Hussain Wassan who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest emphasized the critical role of research in legal practice and applauded the exceptional talent of Sindh University’s law students.

Guest of Honor Professor Dr Ghulam Ali Buriro encouraged students to embrace transformation through critical thinking, collaboration, communication and creativity.

Chairman of the department Danish Bashir Mangi reaffirmed his commitment to making the Department of Law a world-class institution, aligned with SU Vice-Chancellor Professor (Meritorious) Dr Muhammad Siddique Kalhoro's vision of producing global legal leaders.

The competition concluded with celebratory moments, the distribution of trophies and certificates and glowing tributes to the organizing team led by Mooting Society President Ms. Seep Mehdi.

The event set a benchmark for academic and professional excellence at the University of Sindh.
