
SU acting Vice-Chancellor expresses sorrow over passing of Prince Karim Aga Khan
The acting Vice-Chancellor of Sindh University professor Dr. Khalil ur Rehman Khoumbhati expressed his deep sorrow over the passing of Prince Karim Aga Khan, commending his visionary leadership, faith and generosity.
In his condolence message, Dr. Khoumbhati emphasized the enduring legacy of Prince Karim Aga Khan, which transcended borders and brought hope and progress to countless communities in need.
He described the late Aga Khan as a remarkable leader dedicated to uplifting communities worldwide.
“Through his tireless efforts in poverty alleviation, healthcare and gender equality, Prince Karim Aga Khan championed the cause of marginalized groups, leaving an indelible impact on millions of lives,” he said.
The acting Vice-Chancellor further recalled that the Allama I.I. Kazi Central Library at Sindh University was a significant gift from Prince Karim Aga Khan. He paid glowing tribute to his contributions and expressed that he would always be missed.
He offered condolences to the bereaved family and millions of Shia Ismaili Muslims. The VC also welcomed Prince Rahim Al-Hussaini, who has been named the new Aga Khan, the spiritual leader of millions of Shia Ismaili Muslims worldwide.
