A grand farewell ceremony was held at Sindh University's Area Study Centre in honor of Dr. Ghulam Saqib Buriro, Assistant Professor at the Institute of English Language & Literature and Director of Campus Security, as he embarks on a new chapter of his academic journey by joining the University of Mirpurkhas as Professor (BS-21).

Organized by the Sindh Awareness Forum, the event was attended by a large number of faculty members, officers and staff from across the university. The attendees paid glowing tribute by presenting traditional Ajraks, floral bouquets and souvenirs in acknowledgment of his dedicated services.

The ceremony was presided over by Dean of the Faculty of Arts Prof. Dr. Muhammad Khan Sangi and attended by Pro-Vice Chancellor of Dadu Campus Dr. Azhar Ali Shah, Registrar Dr. Mushtaq Ali Jariko and many prominent academic and administrative figures. 

The event commenced with the verses of Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai and was emceed by Muhammad Ali Ghanghro.

Speakers at the event praised Dr. Buriro’s academic excellence, administrative vision and humane approach toward both students and colleagues. 

They highlighted his digital initiatives in campus security and his global standards in teaching and research.

In his farewell address, Dr. Buriro expressed gratitude for the affection shown by the university community and pledged to continue striving for educational excellence. 

“We must consider ourselves accountable to society,” he said and added that everyone must contribute actively through research and teaching for a progressive future.

Multiple emotional farewell programs, including at the Campus Security Office, further reflected the deep admiration Dr. Buriro earned his tenure at the University of Sindh.
