A tree plantation drive was organized at the Arts Faculty Building of Sindh University under the supervision of Incharge Arts Faculty Building Professor Dr Sikander Ali Soomro in collaboration with Helping Hand Organization.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr Khalil ur Rehman Khoumbati inaugurated the campaign by cutting the ribbon and planting a sapling.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Khoumbati said that tree plantation was vital for combating climate change and protecting future generations.

He added that the university was committed to creating a greener and healthier campus environment and that students should take ownership of such initiatives.

Dr Sikander Ali Soomro said the campaign reflected the faculty’s determination to contribute towards environmental sustainability.

He noted that tree plantation was not only a means of beautifying the campus but also a step towards addressing ecological challenges in Sindh.

More than 100 saplings were planted during the drive with active participation from faculty members, students and volunteers of Helping Hand Organization.
