Media serves as a social monitor. Sindh University Department of Media and Communication Studies has produced illustrious penmen who are ding commendable work across the globe.
The above views were advanced by VC-SU Prof. Dr. Fateh Muhammad Burfat during his surprise visit to the Department of Media and Communication Studies of the varsity to examine ongoing mid-term tests.
“We live in media times. Media industry offers economic as well as social incentives to youth. This is the reason we witness continuing rise in the number admission aspirants every year, opting for this department”, the Vice Chancellor said.
Dr. Burfat visited Faculty of Pharmacy too, stressing upon students at both the visit sites to strive hard for excellence to obtain dream jobs.
Dean, Faculty of Pharmacy Prof. Dr. Abdullah Dayo, Chairman, Department of Media and Communication Studies Prof. Dr. Bashir Ahmed Memon and faculty flanked the Vice Chancellor on the occasion.
Those who were present on the occasion included Rector Dadabhoy Institute Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar, SU Director Bureau of STAGS Dr. Sumera Umrani, Director SU ORIC Dr. Imtiaz Ali Korejo and others.
