SU secures second position in All Pakistan Inter-University Cricket Zone Championship 2026
The University of Sindh clinched the second position in the All Pakistan Inter-University Cricket Zone Championship 2026, held in Jamshoro under the auspices of Liaquat University of Medical & Health Sciences (LUMHS) in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission and the University of Sindh.
According to a press release issued by the Directorate of Sports, the championship featured the participation of 13 universities from across Sindh. The matches were described as highly competitive and thrilling, reflecting a strong sporting spirit among the participating institutions.
The final match of the championship was contested between LUMHS, Jamshoro and the University of Sindh. After a series of closely fought encounters throughout the tournament, the University of Sindh emerged as the runners-up, securing second place overall.
The participating universities included the University of Sindh, LUMHS Jamshoro, ISRA University Hyderabad, Sindh Agriculture University Tandojam, Mehran University Jamshoro, Government College University Hyderabad, Shaheed Allah Bux University Jamshoro, IBA University Sukkur, University of Larkana, Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University Larkana, University of Sakrand, University of Sufism & Modern Sciences Bhit Shah, and Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur.
Director Sports, University of Sindh Ajved Ahmed congratulated the university team on their commendable performance and appreciated the efforts of the players and officials for upholding sportsmanship and excellence during the championship.
On the other hand, the SU team headed by the Director Sports called on the Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Fateh Muhammad Marri at his office, who felicitated the entire team on cliching second position in the tournament.
