Sindh University officers, teachers and employees called separately on the Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Fateh Muhammad Marri at his office on Thursday to congratulate him on being conferred the prestigious Tamgha-e-Imtiaz by the President of Pakistan in recognition of his remarkable academic and administrative services.

A large number of university officers, faculty members and employees visited the Vice-Chancellor’s office and warmly felicitated him on the conferment of national civil award. On the occasion, the visitors presented flower bouquets to Professor Dr Fateh Muhammad Marri and adorned him with traditional Sindhi ajrak and cap as a mark of respect and honor.

Speaking on the occasion, the Vice-Chancellor expressed gratitude to all visitors for their heartfelt felicitations and good wishes. He said that the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz was not only an honor for him personally but also a matter of pride for the entire University of Sindh and the people of Sindh.

Dr Marri said that higher education institutions played a vital role in shaping enlightened societies and promoting research, innovation and intellectual growth. He added that the recognition bestowed upon him would further strengthen his commitment to serving the education sector with sincerity and dedication.

He said that collective efforts, teamwork and academic excellence were essential for the progress and development of universities. He said that teachers, officers and employees of the University of Sindh had always extended valuable cooperation in improving the institution’s academic and administrative standards.

He further stated that the award would inspire young scholars, researchers and teachers to work hard for the advancement of education and contribute positively to national development. He reiterated his resolve to continue striving for quality education, research excellence, institutional progress and agriculture economy.

The visiting stakeholders termed the conferment of Tamgha-e-Imtiaz upon the Vice-Chancellor a great honor for the University of Sindh and expressed the belief that the recognition would have a positive and long-lasting impact on the university at national and international levels.
