The Sindh University students demonstrated outstanding performance at the 6th International Student Convention & Expo (ISCE) 2026, bringing laurels to the university through remarkable achievements in innovation, entrepreneurship, artificial intelligence and creative writing competitions.

The international convention, sponsored by the University of Sindh, brought together talented students, researchers, innovators and professionals from universities across Pakistan to participate in competitions, workshops and innovation showcases aimed at promoting creativity, leadership and professional development.

Ms. Tunjina Ali, a student of the Department of Software Engineering, secured first position in the Business Idea Competition held at the NCB Auditorium of Quaid-i-Azam University on May 3. Her project, titled “Parenting School,” focused on educating parents about child psychology, emotional intelligence, communication skills, digital parenting, mental health awareness and modern parenting techniques to promote healthier family environments and better emotional development of children.

She also won second position in the Mini AI Model Training Competition for developing “Dr AI,” an artificial intelligence-based mental health assistant designed to support individuals suffering from depression and anxiety through motivational interaction and emotional guidance. In recognition of her active engagement in workshops and skill-building activities, she also received a Best Participant Recognition Award.

Meanwhile, Ms Zeenat Qureshi of the Institute of English Language and Literature secured second position in the Short Story Writing Competition.

The convention featured more than 34 academic and innovation-based activities focusing on artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship, leadership, communication skills, emerging technologies and professional development. The participating students said the event enhanced their confidence, technical exposure, networking opportunities and leadership abilities.

The students called on the Vice-Chancellor at his office and expressed gratitude to him for his continued encouragement and support in promoting talent, innovation and professional growth among students of the university.
