The Institute of Biochemistry, Nutrition and Food Science and Eastern Medicine, University of Sindh, Jamshoro, organised a one-day workshop on “Healthpreneurship” to promote entrepreneurial thinking, innovation and business opportunities among students of Biochemistry, Nutrition and Eastern Medicine.

The workshop featured Mr Masood Qazi, Chief Executive Officer of Clay Handy Restaurant, USA, as the keynote speaker, and Ms Nazia Zulfiqar, a renowned businesswoman, as the guest speaker.

During the workshop, both speakers shared their entrepreneurial experiences, practical insights and success stories with the participants. They discussed various aspects of entrepreneurship, including business development, marketing strategies, international marketing, setting up businesses independently and the commercial potential of handmade products.

On the occasion, Prof. Dr Afsheen Shah, Director of the Institute of Biochemistry, Nutrition and Food Science and Eastern Medicine, thanked the distinguished speakers, faculty members, students and all participants for their presence. She expressed hope that this collaboration would continue in the future, creating further opportunities to promote entrepreneurial skills and practical business initiatives among students of Biochemistry, Nutrition and Eastern Medicine.

Mr Masood Qazi particularly highlighted Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a modern and effective tool for promoting entrepreneurial activities and discussed its potential and applications.

At the beginning of the programme, Dr Autif Hussain Mangi introduced the title and theme of the workshop and highlighted the growing importance of entrepreneurship in healthcare, nutrition and related fields. He also moderated the session. On the occasion, Mr Ammer Ali Joyo spoke on the subject and thanked the guests for their participation.

A large number of faculty members, students and other guests attended the workshop.
