HBL to provide loans to SU employees on low interest rate

With the efforts made by Sindh University Vice-Chancellor Professor (Meritorious) Dr Muhammad Siddique Kalhoro, the Regional Chief of Habib Bank Limited (HBL) Abdul Jabbar Magsi and Regional Manager Bilal Arif have agreed to provide small loans to the lower employees on low interest rate and the amount will be charged on easy installments.

The Vice-Chancellor Dr. Kalhoro told the bank officials in a meeting that the number of lower employees of the University of Sindh was approximately 2400, who needed small loans at the different times.

He said they should be given a loan facility from Rs. 20, 000 up to 40, 000, which will later be deducted from their monthly salary in easy installments.

He said that the responsibility of repaying the loan would be on the University of Sindh, Jamshoro. On the occasion, HBL Regional Manager Bilal Arif said that Habib Bank could provide small loans to the lower employees of SU on the proposal of the Vice-Chancellor.

“We will implement it soon after reaching an agreement with the varsity”, he said and added the disbursement of loan will be started in due course of time”, he said and added that the bank could lend from Rs. 20, 000 up to Rs. 3, 00000.
