The Institute of Law, University of Sindh has marked a historic achievement by securing top positions in three major moot court and mock trial competitions under the supervision of Dr Sardar Ali Shah and Madam Shabana Jatoi.

The institute’s teams brought laurels not only at the provincial level but also on national and international platforms showcasing the talent and dedication of its law students.

In the National Mock Trial Competition 2025 held at the Blackstone School of Law and Business Lahore, the University of Sindh team secured 3rd position out of 27 teams competing against top law schools from across the country.

The team performed with distinction notably Syed Arshad Ali Shah, a 4th year student was awarded Best Witness Speaker. The team was coached by Omar Ellahi and included Ghulam Mustafa Shoro (Attorney 2nd Year), Ghulam Akber (Attorney 2nd Year), Syed Arshad Ali Shah (Witness 4th Year) and Ayaz Ali Lashari (Witness 1st Year).

In another remarkable feat, the Institute of Law secured 1st position out of 16 teams across Pakistan in the qualifying rounds for the Tashkent International Arbitration Moot Court Competition 2025.

The team will now represent Pakistan in Tashkent Uzbekistan.

This winning team was coached by Dr Sardar Ali Shah and comprised Bhageshwary Khatri, Danishvary, Muhammad Najmuddin and Omar Ellahi.

Meanwhile in the 1st District Bar Association Moot Court Competition 2025, the Institute of Law, University of Sindh clinched 1st position out of 27 teams becoming the champions of the entire Sindh.

The victorious team was coached by Zainab Faheem and included Sania Kareem (Speaker), Zain ul Abideen Jokhio (Speaker) and Syeda Muskan (Researcher).

The consecutive successes have brought immense pride to the University of Sindh reaffirming its growing stature in legal education and practical training of future lawyers.
