Dr. Hakim Ali Mahesar appointed as Director ICM for second consecutive tenure
The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Sindh, Jamshoro Professor Dr. Khalil-ur-Rehman Khoumbati has reappointed Prof. Dr. Hakim Ali Mahesar as Director of the Institute of Commerce and Management (ICM) for a second c onsecutive tenure, recognizing his academic leadership and valuable contributions to the institute.
During the meeting and handing over appointment letter; the Vice-Chancellor lauded Dr. Mahesar for his remarkable services rendered during his first tenure as Director.
He acknowledged his efforts in initiating and launching innovative academic programs such as BS in Accounting and Finance, BS in Forensic Accounting and Fraud Examination, along with the upcoming BS program in Cooperative Societies Management.
These initiatives, he remarked, had significantly enhanced the academic profile and scope of the institute.
The VC also praised Dr. Mahesar’s commitment to institutional development, citing his contributions to infrastructural reforms, campus beautification and the promotion of an eco-friendly environment at ICM.
He noted that such efforts not only improved the learning atmosphere for students but also reflected a vision of sustainable academic growth.
Expressing his gratitude, Dr. Hakim Ali Mahesar thanked the Vice-Chancellor for reposing confidence in his leadership and reaffirmed his resolve to continue working with dedication, merit and integrity.
He emphasized his determination to further strengthen academic excellence, expand research opportunities and foster a culture of innovation and professionalism within the institute.
On the occasion, senior faculty members including Dean of the Faculty of Commerce and Business Administration Prof. Dr. Javed Chandio and Director of the Institute of English Language and Literature Prof. Dr. Abdul Fatah Soomro extended their felicitations to Dr. Mahesar.
They along with other faculty members termed his reappointment as a positive step towards the sustained academic and institutional progress of ICM.
