TIC launches 44 student startups under “Startup–2025 Program" at FET–SU
The Technology Incubation Centre (TIC) at the Faculty of Engineering & Technology (FET), University of Sindh, Jamshoro launched its flagship “Startup–2025 Student Incubation Program” aimed at promoting innovation, entrepreneurship and self-employment among students.
The event was presided over by Dean FET Prof. Dr. Lachhman Das Dhomeja and Focal Person of TIC Dr. Zeeshan Bhatti with participation of heads of various departments.
In his address, Dr. Zeeshan Bhatti outlined the program’s three-phase structure—business setup, skill development and portfolio building—designed to transform student ideas into viable businesses through mentorship and practical training.
He announced the registration of 44 student startup companies, including 6 in AI & Data Science, 14 in Mobile App Development, 19 in Web Development and 5 in Graphics Design & UI/UX, terming it “a milestone toward building an entrepreneurial culture at FET.”
Commending the initiative, Prof. Dr. Lachhman Das Dhomeja said that programs like Startup–2025 will equip students with essential entrepreneurial and leadership skills, preparing them for the demands of the modern job market.
The ceremony concluded with an interactive Q&A session and a group photo as TIC announced the commencement of Phase–1: Orientation and Business Setup to begin immediately.
