Sindh University VC Dr Marri visits Faculty of Social Sciences, interacts with students
Sindh University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Fateh Muhammad Marri on Monday visited the Faculty of Social Sciences, where he went through classrooms of various academic departments and reviewed the teaching and learning environment.
During the visit, the Vice-Chancellor went through the classrooms of the Department of Sociology, Department of Political Science, Department of International Relations, Department of Muslim History and other departments functioning under the faculty.
He interacted with students, listened to their views and encouraged them to remain focused on their academic goals.
Speaking with students, Professor Dr Fateh Muhammad Marri emphasized the central role of education in national development. “Students are the real asset of the university and their academic excellence will shape the future of society,” he said.
He urged them to make the best use of available academic resources and added that commitment to studies, critical thinking and discipline were key to success in higher education.
Stressing the importance of research and analytical skills, he said, “Quality education is not limited to classrooms alone; it also requires curiosity, inquiry, and continuous learning.”
He also assured students that “the university administration is fully committed to improving academic facilities and maintaining a conducive learning environment.”
Earlier, on his arrival at the Arts Faculty Building, the Vice-Chancellor was received by Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences Professor Dr Nanak Ram. Chairmen of various departments, including Chairman Department of History Professor Dr Irfan Shaikh, along with senior faculty members and officials were also present on the occasion.
