Thunderous Pro-Pak Military slogans echo as SU holds army solidarity rally on 2nd consecutive day
Sindh University Bureau of STAGS organized a rally on the 2nd consecutive day to express solidarity with the Pakistan Army and to support Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq.
The rally was taken out from varsity's main entrance- Bab-ul-Islam Gate, which marched to the Vice-Chancellor House, crossing the working women dormitory and Marvi girls' hostel.
SU Registrar Sajid Qayoom Memon, Dean Faculty of Commerce and Business Administration Professor Dr Javed Ahmed Chandio, Dean Faculty of Pharmacy Professor Dr Muhammad Ali Ghoto, Director Institute of Commerce and Management Professor Dr Hakim Ali Mahesar, Chairman Department of Political Science Professor Dr Ghulam Akbar Mahesar, Director Bureau of STAGS Ajved Ahmed Bhatti, Engineer Sajjad Hussain Shah, Zulfiqar Ali Rustamani, Dr Abdul Razaque Channa, Muhammad Mashooque Siddiqui along with a large number of teachers and male and female students were part of the rally.
Participants carried national flags and banners, raised thunderous slogans in favor of Pakistan and the Pakistan Army. They demonstrated strong patriotic fervor.
Addressing the rally, SU spokesperson Dr Nadir Ali Mugheri said that Pakistan desired peace; however, no compromise would be made on its sovereignty, border security or national dignity.
He paid tribute to the martyrs and ghazis of the Pakistan Army and reaffirmed the resolve to stand shoulder to shoulder with the armed forces.
He added that the gathering conveyed a clear message of Pakistan’s national unity and determination to the enemy.
Speaking on the occasion, Engineer Sajjad Hussain Shah stated that no compromise would be made on the defense of the motherland and that no harm would be allowed to befall the soil of Pakistan.
He said that regardless of the form in which the enemy appeared, the nation’s valiant security forces—especially the Pakistan Army, Pakistan Air Force and Pakistan Navy—together with the brave people of the country would crush all nefarious designs.
Addressing the rally, Professor Dr Ghulam Akbar Mahesar said that those spreading toxic propaganda against the armed forces would be soundly defeated, and that the entire nation stands with the Pakistan Army in the ongoing war against terrorism.
He added that the armed forces were the forces of 250 million people and that Pakistan’s defense was impregnable.
He further remarked that India had carried out a cowardly attack under the cover of darkness, but when it received a response in daylight, it saw stars—proving the Pakistan Army’s professionalism.
On the occasion, Registrar Sajid Qayoom Memon said that the Afghan Taliban, like India, were carrying out attacks from hiding—there could be no greater cowardice.
He said that Pakistan’s brave forces had mounted a robust retaliatory response against the Afghan Taliban and the Tehrik-Taliban Pakistan, forcing them to abandon their posts and flee.
Ajved Ahmed Bhatti said that they were proud to be Pakistanis and stood firmly with their army.
He said that during the retaliatory action against India, the world witnessed how strikes were carried out.
He further said that the Afghan Taliban should also introspect and learn from the lessons of the response taken against India.
