The University of Sindh has announced a 50 per cent reduction in fuel provision for all its official vehicles from April 1, 2026, in compliance with austerity measures introduced by the Government of Sindh and the Government of Pakistan.

According to a notification issued by the registrar on Wednesday, the decision follows directives aimed at curbing expenditures.

However, vehicles and motorbikes engaged in essential services have been exempted from the reduction until further orders.
