SU Quality Assurance Committee meets, takes final appraisal of readiness for June 1 online classes
As a last of a series of interfaces held to ensure online teaching-learning process at SU due from June 1 instant, a high-grade meet-up was convened by the Varsity’s Quality Enhancement Cell under the chairmanship of SU vice chancellor Prof. Dr. Fateh Muhammad Burfat.
Pro vice chancellors/focal persons of various SU additional campuses, deans of faculties, chairpersons/directors of departments/institutes and department/institute focal persons for online classes participated in the meeting.
Vice chancellor Prof Dr. Fateh Muhammad Burfat in his presidential comments said SU was one of those few public varsities in Pakistan who had developed its own independent, efficient and fool-proof Online Learning Management System(LMS) that had been reviewed and tested for effectiveness and was found satisfatory and successful.
The VC congratulated entire IT and non-IT team of SU upon this singular achievement as he expressed his immense delight over putting into place of this highly ingenious mechanism to save and safeguard students’ one whole academic year.
Director QEC Prof. Dr. Altaf Hussain Nizamani hosted the meeting, welcomed all in attendance as he presented rationale, background and development to this effect.
The preparations for online classes from June 1 are all set and ready — all possible loopholes catered to and all necessary requirements met, the house concluded.
