Semester exams gets underway at SU, its campuses, VC inspects ongoing examinations in both shifts

The first semester examinations of different disciplines have started in the University of Sindh (SU) Jamshoro and all its campuses here on Monday amid a pleasant environment. 

SU Vice-Chancellor Professor (Meritorious) Dr Muhammad Siddique Kalhoro inspected the examination process in various academic departments in both morning and evening shifts and expressed satisfaction over the arrangements made in this regard. 

According to details, the first semester examinations of different batches have kicked off in Sindh University's Allama I.I Kazi Campus, Elsa Kazi Campus Hyderabad, Laar Campus Badin, Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Campus Dadu, Thatta and Naushero Feroze Campuses as per schedule announced earlier. 

The students have been provided with all the basic facilities and pleasant environment including provision of clean and cold drinking water. On the first day of examinations at the University of Sindh Jamshoro, the Vice-Chancellor visited the Institute of Commerce & Management and the Department of Media & Communication Studies in the morning shift and reviewed the examinations conducted there. 

He was accompanied by the concerned Dean Prof. Dr Javed Ahmed Chandio during his visit to the Institute of Commerce & Management who briefed the VC about the measures he took to ensure peaceful conduct of exams within his Faculty of Commerce & Business Administration.

Later, he thronged to the Arts Faculty Building where Dean Faculty of Social Sciences Prof. Dr Hamadullah Kakepoto received him. He walked through the exams blocks in various departments including Philosophy, Psychology, Political Science, Criminology, Sociology, Public Administration, Sindhi, International Relations, Urdu, General History and Muslim History and mingled with the students taking the exams. He enquired them about their question papers and advised them to study hard to gain knowledge.

He said that students should gain knowledge on a daily basis and work very hard to cope with the challenges posed from time to time.

He added that the students should not study only to pass the exams, but they ought to study to explore new knowledge in their relevant fields, because he said success came only after acquiring mastery in everything. 

The Vice-Chancellor further said that the University of Sindh had provided the best educational environment to the students on the campus; it was then their responsibility to study hard and make the name of the university and the country bright in future.

Among others, Registrar Prof. Dr Mushtaque Ali Jariko, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences Prof. Dr Hamadullah Kakepoto, Controller of the Semester Examinations Muhammad Mashooque Siddiqui, Director Campus Security Dr Ghulam Saqib Buriro, Incharge Art’s Faculty Building Dr Makhmoor Bukhari and Provost Boys’ Hostel Dr Pasand Ali Khoso were also accompanying Vice-Chancellor.
